I loved being this beautiful family’s Stillwater MN Maternity and Newborn Photographer. It’s one of the most popular photoshoot combinations for documenting your pregnancy and your new baby.

We actually shot this session during covid, but somehow a whole bunch of blog posts during that time disappeared, so I’m going back to blog them a few at a time.

We took their maternity photos at my old studio in Golden Valley and then shot their in-home lifestyle newborn photos in their home in Stillwater. Yes, I do travel outside of the Twin Cities for photoshoots! I’ve traveled as far as St. Cloud and Rochester for in-home newborn photography sessions.

While I love having clients come to the studio, I want you to be where you’ll be most comfortable after you deliver your baby. For some, that’s right at home.

A huge benefit to having the session done in your home is being able to capture all of the details in your baby’s nursery. Those decorations and details usually don’t stay as your baby turns into a walking toddler and then into a school-ager. By this time, they usually have a few ideas of their own as to how they want their bedroom to look.

These in-home lifestyle newborn photography sessions are also great if you have family pets that you want to include in the photos. Sometimes it’s hard lugging the baby, stroller, car carrier, diaper bag, and the family dog to the studio. I’m happy to come to you if you want your furbaby to be included.
