She was able to take pictures outside and inside. She listened to some of our "creative" ideas (haha) while weaving in her vast photography experience to capture some really great pictures.

You’ll never be left wondering about how to prepare for your session, when your session date is, or how to get to the studio or park. With regular communication, appointment reminders, and session prep guides, you’ll feel fully prepared on the day of our photoshoot together. I’m only an email, phone call, or text away if you have any questions.

Your session time is dedicated just to you and your family. I’ll never rush you, and I’ll make sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. I’ll pose you and give you light direction, so you won’t feel awkward, and I’ll even make silly jokes, sounds, or faces to make the little ones smile. I’ll capture smiles, candid moments, and everything in between.

My portrait studio is located in Plymouth, MN, on the northwest corner of Hwy 169 and Hwy 55 near Medicine Lake, making it a convenient location for maternity, newborn, baby, and family photography in the west metro of the Twin Cities. Fully stocked for your baby’s newborn or milestone photoshoot.

Let’s take your session outdoors! Choose from several parks in the Twin Cities, including West Medicine Lake Park, Millennium Gardens, the Maple Grove Arboretum, Purgatory Park in Minnetonka, Noerenburg Gardens, MN Landscape Aboretum, and the Roseville Central Park Arboretum.

At Home

I’m also happy to travel to your home for an on-location baby and family photography session throughout Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding Twin Cities suburbs.

The Portrait Experience: Maternity, Newborn & Baby Photography

A simple and easy process for busy (and tired) parents and parents-to-be.

Reach out to me via my contact form to let me know what session you’re interested in and check availability around your due date or milestone date.

Book & Plan

After we settle on a date and time for your session, I’ll send you the online booking link where you’ll pay the deposit to hold your spot on the calendar. You’ll receive guides and reminders so you feel fully prepared before your session.

Session Day

On the day of your session, we’ll meet at my studio or on location for your photoshoot. My sessions are easy-going and fun, and I’ll guide you every step of the way.

Image Delivery

Within 2 weeks after your session, you’ll view your beautifully edited images through a private online gallery. Download your digital images and order heirloom artwork and albums all from the comfort of your home and enjoy!

Questions New Parents Often Ask

Newborn sessions are best booked during pregnancy to ensure availability; ideally, early in the second trimester. I take a limited number of sessions each month so I can provide a calm, unrushed experience and timely gallery delivery.

For studio newborn photography sessions, it’s recommended your baby be between 5-12 days old. This is when your newborn will be at their most sleepiest and flexible for posing. For in-home lifestyle sessions, your baby can be as old as 4 weeks since these images are more candid and casual. If you want your baby to more awake for this session, schedule the session closer to 3-4 weeks after delivery.

Yes. Not only am I a mom and former daycare teacher, I have over 15 years of experience photographing newborns and I’m trained and certified in newborn safety. My Plymouth studio is warm, clean, and designed specifically with babies and parents in mind. Props are washed and sanitized after each session. I’m also an avid hand washer/sanitizer – a habit I picked up when working as a daycare teacher!

That’s completely okay. My sessions are gentle, baby-led, and never rushed. I follow your baby’s cues and allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and snuggles—sleepy or awake, your baby will be beautifully photographed.

Absolutely. From what to wear to how the session flows, I’ll guide you every step of the way so you don’t have to plan or worry. My goal is for you to relax and simply enjoy this time with your baby.

I’m happy to travel to your home for your session! Travel is included in my session price within 30 miles from Maple Grove. Those further out will may incur a travel fee depending on location.
