Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
And wouldn’t ya know it? I’ve got a cold. I don’t think I’ve been sick for over a year, but I guess it’s that time of year. Luckily I have a little lull in my schedule, so I don’t have to worry about canceling and rescheduling sessions. I did have a maternity photo shoot a couple of days ago at my studio, but I was feeling ok that day and got through it. It wasn’t until the next day that my head got a little full and fuzzy, you know the feeling. My next session is a newborn, but it’s over a week away and I should be good to go by then.
So, while editing the maternity photos (which turned out so great), I’m getting a few more blog posts in before the new year. 2018 is shaping up to be pretty busy again. January is pretty much full. I’ve got a few sessions to get scheduled, but once those are done I won’t have wiggle room for much more. February is a bit more open, but March is also getting full already. Lots of babies! I love it!
Speaking of babies…oh my goodness. I LOVE the photos from this session. This sweet little baby girl was 2 weeks old for her session, born a little early, and did so beautifully for her photos. Mom and Dad’s bedroom made the perfect location for both her posed newborn photos and the family photos as the light in the room was amazing! It was a very chilly December morning when we did these pictures, so allowing this new family of three to be inside snuggling on their bed in their warm and cozy home felt so good.
I can’t imagine a better time to plan for in-home newborn photos. Did you see the high in Minnesota, well the Minneapolis area at least, is in the single digits over the next week. Brrrrrrrrr.
Stay warm, people! 🙂
