Baby and Child Heirloom Portraits Minneapolis, MN
Happy Fall! It feels so good to be all moved into the new studio in Plymouth!
The only downside to the move was changing my Google Business listing. You’d think this would be an easy task. Just change the address and voila! Yeah, no. I’ve had to take 4 videos showing the outside of the building, me entering the building, any signage with my business name on it, as well as a little tour of the inside of the studio. All 4 videos were rejected.
I’m beyond frustrated with Google, so they’ve offered to do a live video chat to verify the existence of my business at the new address, but they can only do it during regular business hours during the week. So, looks like that’s going to happen next week sometime.
The good news is, I have several sessions under my belt. September and October are keeping me very busy!
My most recent session was for this beautiful and joyful one-year-old baby girl and her beautiful mama and daddy. Mom had requested child heirloom portraits for some of the photos from her baby milestone session. This was my first request, and I’m so happy with how they turned out (and mama is, too!)
Mom brought the dress she’ll be wearing for her baptism, which is absolutely perfect for baby heirloom photos. The simple white dress with tiny pink and white flowers, a collar, and a white bow for her hair was the perfect combination for her one-year portraits. They look so great in color and black and white. I honestly can’t decide which I like more.
Before we tackled the heirloom photos, we took her family photos with mom and dad. We then got out some props for her to sit on. She was so funny and so joyful! She kept me busy and working hard, but man, it was so worth it.
I think my favorites are the photos of her sitting on the white baby bed on the pink backdrop (I’ll let you in on a little secret – that backdrop isn’t pink in real life). She would only sit for about 10 seconds before getting up and trying to run away. Then she discovered the pink scarf I had put on the bed to add that little pop of color to the photos, and she went crazy, shaking it all around. It was then that I got what I needed, and oh my goodness, I love how they turned out!
I’m looking forward to the rest of my sessions in September and October! If you’re looking to book a session, I’m now booking November and December sessions with limited availability. Reach out to me today!
