Crisp leaves, cool air, and pumpkin spice—fall has truly arrived!
I can’t believe we’re already at the end of October. Halloween is only a week away, and I’ve just sent my snowblower off for a tune-up. I’m fine with winter as long as my snowblower is running smoothly. This girl has no time for shoveling.
I thought it would be fun to share some beautiful maternity and newborn photos from a warmer time, not so long ago. The maternity session was held in August, and the newborn session was held this month, but still. Let’s reminese about how warm and lovely it was to take this sweet and beautful couple’s pregnancy photos at my favorite time of year and favorite time of the day – sunsets in August – swoon.
It really was a beautiful evening at West Medicine Lake Park in Plymouth, MN, for a couple’s maternity photoshoot. They even brought fun props like little boy baby shoes and an ultrasound photo. Mama looked radiant in her white maternity gown – you can never go wrong with wearing white to your photo session. Doesn’t matter if we’re outdoors or in the studio. White is timeless, classic, clean, and fresh.
We held their baby boy’s newborn photography session in October, shortly after his arrival into the world! Mama brought along some props again, which were so cute to use for his posed newborn photos.
He was such a sweet little guy and slept like a champ. It was a dream session, and I absolutely love how the images turned out. I coordinated the props and backgrounds in tans and navy blues with the outfits mom and dad wore to the session. I do this to make sure the gallery looks cohesive. Whether you display your images in a gallery wall or an album, it’s important for them to go together.
