This incredibly sweet couple found me looking for a newborn photographer near Albertville, MN and it was such an honor documenting their first baby for them.
The little guy wasn’t big on sleep at the beginning of the session, so we got a few awake shots and then waited it out. Sometimes a little extra food and some white noise can do the trick. The fun thing about having a baby that’s awake and then starts to fall asleep during the newborn photography session is that I can capture a few little smirks and smiles as they drift off to sleep.
I tend to move pretty quickly once the baby falls asleep to make the most out of the time at the studio. My goal is to complete the entire session in 2 hours; 3 hours at the very longest. After that, everyone starts getting a little tired and hungry and sweaty (ok that might be just me).
I do keep snacks at the studio for my parents and older siblings, just to make sure no one gets hangry. 🙂
If you’re looking for a newborn photographer in the Twin Cities area, please contact me soon! My schedule is full through the end of the summer and I’m now booking sessions in September, October, and November.
