Happy Sunday! Sticking to my attempts to catch up on my blogging…another blog post for the weekend. This isn’t going to be too wordy because I just don’t have a lot to say today.
I’m enjoying these 2 weeks I have off this month. Yesterday, my husband painted our kitchen cieling after having some new recessed lights installed. We also had our contractor scrape off the old popcorn cieling, which is so 1984. It’s a drastic difference from what the kitchen looked like 5 years ago when we bought our house. My bathroom is in serious need of some repairs and painting, too, which I’m hoping to get to this week. Knowing I have 20 family members coming in a week and a half for Thanksgiving is pretty motivating.
I’ve been to a lot of my clients’ homes lately where major remodels have taken place. It’s always fun to hear the stories of all the hard work they put into it.
This session took place in their home in their master bedroom, which was the former garage of the original house. They bought this house on White Bear Lake in an area where most of the homes are really old because at one point in time, they were just little cabins. They said they were the last ones in the neighborhood to add on and convert their home into what it is today.
The brown/tan/blue tones from the baby’s photos went perfectly with the theme in their house; cabin on the water. Enjoy!
