This 3-month-old-turned-family photo session ending up turning out so much differently than planned, but I absolutely love them!

Initially we planned for just taking photos of their 3-month-old baby girl and a few family photos. She had other plans. She had woken up really early that morning and by the time the family got to the studio, she was half asleep. We ended up going with it, though, and the photos turned out so beautiful.

I personally don’t think there’s anything more peaceful and beautiful than a sleeping baby, so to capture her all snuggled up with mom and dad was really special. It’s rare to capture babies sleeping at any session other than a newborn photo session.

We also took the opportunity to focus on her older brother for a few with mom and dad and then ended the session with the four of them for family photos. They are such a beautiful, fun-loving family and I’m so glad I got to meet them!
