I’ve been a Twin Cities MN Newborn Family Photographer for over 12 years now. I’ve been providing this newborn photography service to Twin Cities families since 2011 and have worked with hundreds of babies.

Along the way, I’ve learned so much from so many fabulous newborn photographers. But the primary focus of the top newborn photographers in this industry is always safety. I can’t even begin to stress the importance of newborn safety in newborn photography.

The sad thing is, there is nothing to regulate this. Any person off the street can pick up a camera and call themselves a newborn photographer with absolutely no experience whatsoever.

One of those top photographers, who I’ve looked up to my whole career, told a very disturbing story today. She received a call from another photographer’s client very upset and not sure what to do. She let her know that while working with the other photographer her baby was dropped on his head!

The photographer then proceeded to act like it was no big deal and kept going on with the session. What?!? This story broke my heart. Like, how does that even happen?

The mom was in tears while retelling this story. Luckily they had brought the baby to the hospital and everything was ok.

This is why hiring a professional newborn photographer with experience is SO important. Not only have I been a newborn photographer for over 12 years, but I have a lot of experience in early childhood care and education through being a former daycare teacher, I’m newborn safety certified through APNPI, and I’m also a mom.

There is nothing more important to me than your baby’s safety.
