Tiny Little Bits – Newborn Details {Maple Grove Newborn Photographer}
Posted: May 17, 2014

Newborn babies change and grow so quickly.  I am always amazed at how much they change from my first newborn photography session to their 3-month photo session (given the parents book the milestone sessions following their newborn session).

This was probably my biggest deciding factor when I bought my macro lens for my photography.  Not only do I use it for a “fun lens” around the house when creating fine art of macro flowers and food photography, but for capturing those teeny, tiny little newborn details that are so easily forgotten.  The sweet little lips, delicate and fragile eyelashes, teeny little fingernails and even the fine hairs on the back and shoulders.

I was looking at my own son’s newborn photos the other day and I honestly couldn’t remember him looking the way he did.  His scrunched up little face, his chubby little cheeks, the little dots on his nose…all of that has faded…and now he’s turning 5-years-old this summer…sigh.

I’m so glad I was able to capture these details of this little guy for this family.  I have no doubt they will treasure these photos forever.
