Since I got the news that baby James was born on June 3rd, I feel I can finally blog this adorable session.  This little guy’s name, which was included in the photos, was to be a surprise for family and friends, so I feel pretty darn special for knowing his name before everyone else.  His newborn photo session is this coming Sunday and I’m so excited to meet him!

We met down at my studio in Minneapolis for their partially sports theme maternity photos.  I’m not holding anything against these two for being Green Bay Packers fans either, since they were so much fun to work with!  They even included some Minnesota Timberwolves gear into their photos.  They really got into the props for this session, which made it all the more fun!  How do you not get excited for your little one to arrive while holding their little shoes in your hands and writing their name out in blocks?

They also brought their sweet puppy, Abby, along for the photos.  She was so good and well behaved and I couldn’t resist taking a few portrait shots of just her alone.  She had a tendency to get a little sad and lonely looking during the shoot when she felt she was being ignored for too long.  I can’t wait to get her in a few photos with baby James on Sunday.
