MN weather. Always unpredictable.
I think I’ve been lucky when it’s come to weather and the timing of my recent photo shoots, though. I’ve only had one session where I had to move it to the studio due to rain and thunderstorms, other than that, I’ve been able to do all of my outdoor sessions outside with fairly decent weather.
One of the reasons I love doing newborn photography in my clients’ homes is that I never have to worry about the weather, which is a good thing because during my past 3 newborn sessions, it rained. While I love being able to get outside for a few family photos and even some posed newborn photos, it won’t make or break a session. Newborn photos go on regardless of the weather!
On this particular day it was one of those weird mixes of sun, then clouds, then heavy rain, then sun again. So, we just stayed in and do all of the family, sibling and newborn photos inside. The light ended up being soft and beautiful, which made for some gorgeous photos of this beautiful baby girl.
This little girl is going to be very lucky growing up with 2 older brothers, and what super sweet brothers they are. 4-year-olds (especially boys) are always a little rambunctious, which is always expected at any photo shoot, but they did incredibly well with their new baby sister.
And I’m super excited that mom signed up for my First Year Baby Plan for this little gal! I just love watching and documenting the growth of these little people. It’s crazy how fast it happens and so worth being beautifully documented (and not by your camera’s iPhone either). I can’t wait to put together her album of her first year of life. Definitely something she will treasure forever.
Can’t wait to see her again in a few months!
