I met this super sweet couple, who are transplants from the New York area, down at my studio for their maternity photos. It was a gorgeous fall day outside that morning, so we took advantage of the weather and went outdoors for a few as well. Using the morning sunlight, we got some gorgeous backlit images of this mama and daddy to be. I love the clean and modern look of these photos, especially with the black outfits. It really lets the connection, love and joy these parents-to-be have for each other shine through in each photo. And since I love the color purple (happens to be my favorite color), I was thrilled when her second outfit choice was a purple dress. It really popped against the white walls and grey couch in the studio.

I’m really looking forward to meeting their baby girl in just a few weeks! We’ll be planning for a documentary style newborn session when she’s a few weeks old at their home in Minneapolis. I can only imagine what a cute little girl she’ll be with such good looking parents as these guys! She’ll no doubt have dark hair.
