Finding a photographer that gives you exactly what you want from your photo session can be tricky. You want the digitals, but you also want something tangible you can view and enjoy every day.
I offer you the best of both worlds. After our session together, you get to choose from 3 Digital Collections that are sure to meet your needs and a Print Store Credit that definitely meets your “I gotta have that!”
Unlike other photographers, you pay for your collection after the session, not before. That way you can make the right purchasing decision based on the images from your gallery.
Your gallery will be filled with beautifully retouched and edited images to choose from. After you select your digital collection, you’ll be able to download them immediately. Then you can use your Print Store Credit to buy whatever you want from the gallery store like birth announcements, gift prints, and wall art for your home. It’s that simple.

A simple and easy process for busy Minneapolis Families

Your first step is to reach out to me. We can chat through email or on a phone call. I’m happy to answer any questions or address any hesitations you might have about booking a photography session.
Based on my availability I can let you know if I have openings around the time you’re looking to book your session. I always recommend booking early to guarantee a spot on my calendar!
Once booked, you’ll have access to an online client portal which will have everything you need for your session all in one spot. I’ll also send you a session planning guide, so you’ll feel fully prepared before your session.

On the day of your session, we’ll meet at my studio, a beautiful outdoor location, or in your home. I promise to guide you through every step of the way! It’ll be fun, easy-going and may involve a little snuggling with your partner and/or kids.
You can plan for about 1 hour for maternity, lifestyle newborn, baby milestone, and family sessions. Studio newborn sessions typically go about 2-3 hours.
My schedule is pretty flexible, so if you prefer weekends vs weekdays or mornings vs evenings; we’ll make it work!

The Big Reveal! 1-2 weeks following your portrait session, you’ll receive a link to your private online portrait gallery. All of the images will be fully edited and retouched.
For 48 hours you’ll have access to your slideshow preview. During this time you’ll select your digital image collection.
Then your gallery will be fully open for 30 days. You can use your Print Store Credit to order extra digital files, birth announcements, gift prints, wall art, and session albums during this time.
All of this is done from the comfort of your home! See? Easy peasy.

Once you’ve selected your digital image package, you’ll choose your favorite digital images to download and use your gift print credit in the online gallery store.
This credit can be used towards extra digital images, beautiful museum-quality artwork, gorgeous heirloom session albums, and more. All artwork is shipped directly to your home from a professional lab.

I know you have them
When should I reserve my newborn portrait session?
My availability fluctuates and I take a limited number of sessions each month, so I highly recommend reaching out to me in your 2nd trimester to reserve a spot on my calendar.
What is the best age to photograph a newborn?
Studio newborn sessions are best done in the first 2 weeks after delivery. Lifestyle newborn sessions can be done anytime in the first 2 months.
What if I deliver my baby early, or late?
No need to worry. The date reserved for your newborn portrait session is flexible. I shoot 7 days a week and can always adjust my schedule to make sure we get your session in within the first 2 weeks after delivery.
What is the best age to photograph an older baby?
Baby milestone sessions can occur at any age and time in their first year. I recommend having photographs taken at the most significant milestones, the "sitter" stage around 7 months, and their first birthday.
Do you take family portraits?
I do! But these sessions are reserved for clients returning to me after an initial newborn or baby portrait session.
When is the best time for pregnancy photos?
Maternity photo sessions take place between 28-34 weeks. Around that time you'll have a nice-sized baby belly, but shouldn't be too uncomfortable yet. Often times swelling kicks in in the last month of pregnancy, so it's best to have your photos taken before 36 weeks.
What should I wear to my photo shoot?
Pinterest is a great resource for what-to-wear guides! This is a personal choice and preference, however, this is what I recommend:
- wear what's comfortable in solid colors and simple patterns
- avoid matching outfits; instead, coordinate with 2-3 colors
- avoid shirts with logos or writing on them
- long dresses/pants look best
Can I bring props to my portrait session?
Yes, absolutely! I encourage the use of props if they're meaningful to you. Ultrasound photos, baby shoes, and books can personalize your maternity photos.
Knitted blankets and outfits given as gifts or passed down to your baby can add special meaning to newborn photos and baby photos.
Otherwise, in my posed newborn sessions, I provide all of the props based on my style in your choice of colors.
What if I need to cancel my portrait session?
As a mom, I understand that things come up; illness and unplanned events happen in life. No, worries. Your session can be rescheduled to another date and time that works for both of us.
What is a Print Credit?
The Print Credit you receive with your Digital Image Collection can be looked at as a gift certificate or coupon to be used in your online gallery store towards gift prints, wall art, albums, and more. Preserving your memories for years to come!
