I loved seeing this family for another round of yearly family photos for their annual Christmas card.  This was the first year we had their session at the studio instead of outside like we’ve done in the past.  I loved, loved how these turned out!  I’m totally loving the blue theme they went with for their outfits, which just worked so well with the white walls in the studio and the overall theme of winter/Christmas.  It just works.

We got a lot of great photos from this session and it’s so much fun to mix it up with multiple combinations with a family of 5.  And I always love that this couple gets an updated photo together, which I think every couple should do.  How often do you have a professional portrait done together after you wedding?  Not too often.  So, take advantage of the opportunity when you get together for your family photos.  I know some of my most favorite photos from my wedding day are the photos my photographer took of my parents and my in-laws together.  Up until my wedding day, they were literally the only professional photos I had ever seen of my mom and dad together.  Getting together for these photos will mean the world to your kids, too.
