Looking back at these One Year Cake Smash photos taken late last summer, makes me long for those warm sunny days again. As I sit here now in my office looking at the window, the first white flakes of winter are floating around in the wind. Clearly it’s been a while since I’ve been able to blog one of my sessions! It has been an insanely busy Fall, between sessions and my son being sick a lot since the start of school, but after a few more sessions I’m looking forward to a little downtime with my family.
We wrapped up this gorgeous little girl’s First Year Baby Plan with One Year Cake Smash photos in Roseville Central Park. Mom brought a cake stand that had been passed down to her from her grandmother and the most gorgeous cake I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure if the details show in the photos, but there was a little hint of glimmer in the frosting. So simple and beautiful. I had also picked up some balloons for this one, but only a few made it into the photos. I really just loved the simplicity of just the baby and this beautiful cake in the park.
Before we let her dive into the cake, though, we had to get some cute photos of her in her First Birthday outfit (bought on Etsy, of course!) and photos of her with her older brothers and mom and dad, just like we’ve done at each session during her First Year Baby Plan. This really is one lucky little girl! At each and every session her brothers would fight over the chance of getting in photos with her and who got to hold her first. Just so sweet. You can tell mom and dad are so elated to have a little girl in their lives as they gush over her. It really is a wonderful thing to witness.
I’ve been so lucky with the families I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know over the past 5 years and I’m looking forward to many, many more! If you or someone you know is looking for a photographer to take their baby’s One Year Cake Smash photos, contact me today!
