It was so wonderful to see this family again! I’ve been their newborn photographer since their oldest was a newborn quite a few years ago! Their first session was an in-home newborn session, their second was a studio session at my old studio and we took their newest (and last?) newborn session just a few weeks ago at my new studio in Brooklyn Park.

This little guy gave me a run for my money and decided the only way he was happy was wrapped up and swaddled. As soon as I took him out of the swaddle and made any attempts to pose him, he was not having it. Once we figured out he preferred to be wrapped, the rest of the session went pretty smoothly.

That’s how most of my newborn sessions go. I have to figure out their little personality and what makes them happiest and sleepiest to have a successful session. Each baby is unique and my sessions are go-with-the-flow and baby-led. Even with babies that are having a bit of a rough time, I always guarantee a beautiful gallery of images you’ll love forever (and some fun stories to tell your baby about their first photo shoot).
