Well, look at that!  It’s already the middle of summer.  I can’t get over how fast this summer is flying by.  Maybe it’s because Kyle starts Kindergarten this fall, or maybe it’s because I feel busier this summer than I have in the past, or maybe it’s this crazy heat and humidity that won’t go away!  It’s just so hard to believe we only have a month and a half until summer is over.

Summers will definitely feel very different after Kyle goes to school this Fall.  Over the past 6 years Kyle and I have watched as all the other kids walked their way toward the school bus each morning as I drank my coffee and he his milk.  It didn’t feel that long ago that I thought, “Yep, buddy.  That will you be you some day.”  That some day is almost here.  Ugh.

While I know I will very much appreciate the quieter days and being able to work around the house without interruption, I’m really going to miss him.  Trips to Target just won’t be the same without him.

Hug your babies and enjoy every minute you have with them.

On that note, here is a share from his little girl’s 6-month session (she was a preemie born 3 months early, so all of her milestones are current with her adjusted age of 3 months).  Figured I better get a blog post up sharing these photos since we’ll be taking her 9-month photos on Saturday. 🙂
