Congratulations on your new bundle of joy!
The process of booking your newborn photography session couldn’t be any easier. Hopefully you’ve given yourself some time to research a photographer for your baby and your family. It’s best to start your search in your 2nd trimester. Most Minneapolis newborn photographers are booked several weeks or months in advance. My availability fluctuates, so feel free to reach out to me and I can let you know what dates I have open following your due date. Remember, newborn baby photo shoots are best done within those first 2 weeks. But not to worry if you’re starting late. I also work with older newborns up to 4 weeks, as well.
BEFORE YOU BOOK:
You’ll need to decide which newborn photography session package or First Year Baby Plan you want. I offer all-inclusive session pricing. This means for one price you get a pre-session consultation, the session with me at my newborn photography studio in Golden Valley, MN, and all of the edited images from your session with rights to print your images when you want and where you want.
WHEN YOU’RE READY TO BOOK:
I’ll send you a link to an online booking portal where you can pay your session deposit of $200 to hold a tentative date/time on my calendar. After you’ve delivered your baby you’ll want to contact me right away so we can firm up the date. The session will take place in my cozy and private studio where we’ll have access to all of my newborn photo props. Before your session I’ll send you an email outlining exactly how to prepare, what to wear and everything you’ll need to bring for baby.
AFTER THE SESSION:
1-2 weeks after your session, you’ll receive an email with a link to a private online gallery. From there you can download all of the edited digital images in both color and black/white. A typical Deluxe Newborn Session gallery consists of about 50 color images and the Simple Newborn Session consists of about 25. You also have the option to order professional quality prints that ship directly to you. This is a great option for out-of-town family members like grandparents and aunts/uncles.
