When I was a little girl back in the 80’s, my mom bought me a doll called the My Child Doll (see photo). It was back in the day, way before the American Girl dolls came out.  These dolls were supposed to look like you, so you could say this is “my child”. She had dark curly hair and blue eyes and I guess my mom thought she looked like me.

When I first saw Mia at her 6 month photo session, she was literally the spittin’ image of my My Child doll I had when I was little. Dark curly hair, big blue eyes, little button nose and perfect little pink lips.

I knew she would be a beautiful baby because she was one of the most beautiful newborn baby girls I’d ever laid eyes on. I haven’t blogged that session as I’m working in a little bit of reverse in my blogging. I was doing so well keeping everything in order and then I don’t know what happened. Oh well! Looks like I’ll be playing a little bit of catch up over the next few months.

Mia’s last session with me will be in February for her One Year Photos and I really can’t wait to see how much she’ll have grown! Could she get any cuter? We’ll see in a few months. 🙂
