This little guy did so incredibly well for his newborn photos, which was not completely unexpected since his parents have such a calm demeanor.  Babies can sense tension, even as newborns, so when everyone around them is calm generally they are, too.

As soon as he was fed and sleepy, he slept almost all of the way through his posed photos, but once he woke up I was able to wrap him and keep him happy for the rest of the photos.  Newborns love to be swaddled, so I usually wrap them when they start to awaken during the session to keep them content.  Sometimes I’m even able to get a shot them of them with their eyes open, which I love to capture.

This was such a great session with great variety and a stunning family.  I can’t wait to work with them again!
