Another baby, another year gone by. It feels like I just did this little man’s newborn photos yesterday and here we are already at his one year photos.
Over the course of this past year I have done all of Collin’s photos at home for a more lifestyle approach capturing him in his element and making it easier on mom not to have to drag her two boys out of the house. When I arrived to his home he had a mild fever and super rosy cheeks (although I edited those out a little…). I offered to come back another day to do the session, given this family lives only 5 minutes from me right in Maple Grove, but he seemed to perk up a little after I sat and visited for a few minutes. So, we decided to give it a shot!
Between his big brother, his mommy and me, we were able to take his little mind off his fever for a little while and capture his sweet and mild-mannered personality.
Since I know his mom is a big fan of black and white photography, for this session I ended up converting each picture into black and white and also provided a color copy as well. I’m still torn between which I like better, but I do love a good black and white photo. It reminds me of flipping through my grandmother’s old photo albums where every single photo was in black and white. They have a way of cutting through the distractions and going straight into the soul.
