I’m so happy to be able to share this little girl’s 6-month photos! We had such a blast at the studio a few weekends ago for her halfy-birthday session (I stole that phrase from my son’s Kindergarten teacher). She was super happy and full of smiles and like most babies her age, super silly, too. I hadn’t seen her since her newborn session, so I was really looking forward to seeing her and all her dark hair. She didn’t disappoint; what a beauty!
We started off with family photos of mom, dad and baby to warm her up to me a little bit. She’s not quite at the “stranger danger” phase yet, but the large camera in the face can be quite intimidating so I always like to start with my little ones being photographed with their parents before we get them on their own. Plus, I truly believe family photos should always be included at each of these milestone sessions. As baby grows up it will tell more of a story about how much she was loved on by her mama and daddy and not all about how cute she was all on her own.
We were able to get a lot of variety in this session, as she was well fed and well rested before coming in. We made it through two outfit changes and photos of just baby in her diaper (a shot I always love to get) and she was still happy as could be leaving the studio. Always a plus in my book!
I couldn’t love these photos more. Here are a few of my favorites from our time together at the studio. Enjoy!
