I was so happy to see this sweet (and fun!) family again this year for their annual family photos.  We lucked out with a pretty gorgeous morning for their photos, too!

These kids are so silly and fun and it shows in every photo!  I often hear from my parents that their most loved photos are the ones where the connection and love shine through in their family photos; not necessarily where everyone is just looking straight on at the camera smiling.  Yes, those photos are great and sure everyone needs at least one, right?  But seriously…when you see photos of everyone interacting, laughing, cuddling, smiling….those are treasures.  Those are MOMENTS that are captured.  Embrace those with everything you’ve got.

What I also love about these photos is that I was able to capture the cutest personalities from each of these kids.   So much more fun than just capturing those straight on (I’m-not-really-this-sweet-and-quiet-and-good-all-the-time) smiling photos.  You’ll get enough of those as your kids go through school and get their annual school yearbook photo taken.  Your kids are going to go through so much change as they grow and get older.  Their childhood is so fleeting and it seems we’re constantly as parents and as a society making them grow up too fast.  Let them be silly!  Let them play!  Let them be them.  Trust me.  It won’t be that way for long.
