I have to say I won’t be sad to see 2020 leave. It’s been quite a year and didn’t end all too well for me either. Although this probably isn’t the worst thing that could of happened, my website was hacked (again!) in late November. I didn’t notice until mid-December when a wonderful client of mine let me know. It was finally fixed and back up and running on New Years Eve, but having a whole month down hurt my SEO. It seems everything is back to where it was pre-hack, but it just stinks. I have some new safety features installed on my website, so hopefully that keeps the criminal hackers away.
But, on to 2021! I’m determined to stay positive and keep looking ahead. It’s a new dawn; it’s a new day! We’ll have a new president in 2 days, the vaccines are rolling out (although slowly) and Spring will be here before we know it!
So far (knock on wood) my family has not been affected by the virus. We’ve all managed to stay healthy and safe during this time, so I’ve been able to keep moving along with sessions. Although there was a 2 month period when I couldn’t do any sessions at all due to the government shutdown, but I mostly stayed on track and kept busy in 2020. Really, coming to my studio to see my clients was such a highlight of my year! Seeing all the wonderful families and babies kept me sane and feeling normal. Thank you, thank you to all of you that entrusted me to keep your families safe while photographing your babies!
On that note, here is a share from my last session from 2020. He’s a beautiful rainbow baby that I was honored to work with. His mommy and daddy truly were the sweetest couple to work with, too.
