How could you not want to include your first “baby” in your pregnancy photos? Dogs are family and definitely need to be included in the family photos.

This beautiful and loving couple brought all 3 of their furbabies to their morning outdoor maternity session in September. We had a gorgeous early fall day for their photos. We couldn’t have asked for better weather!

They drove up to Plymouth from Edina to meet me at my favorite park to capture them together during their pregnancy before the baby’s arrival. I can’t wait to meet the baby and take more photos of everyone together!

After the pups got to get in and enjoy a few photos with Dad and Mom, we did the rest of the session without them. Many times my clients will bring a friend or family member along to the photoshoot to help out with wrangling the animals.

I always encourage my clients to bring a few sentimental props to the session. This couple brought an ultrasound photo, a cute baby outfit, and a special blanket made by the baby’s grandma. All items are now beautifully documented in their maternity photos, so they and their baby will always have these to remember these special moments.
