Ok, how is it the end of summer already? We have open house tonight at my son’s school and it feels like his last day of 2nd grade was just yesterday. Time is just going way too fast.
We ended our summer on a high note, though, with a family trip up to Duluth. I hadn’t been there in almost 20 years, so it was so much fun going back. We visited Gooseberry Falls, Two Harbors, Canal Park and the Aquarium. Had the most awesome pizza from Pizza Luce (how had I not had them before?) and lucked out with great weather. We stayed at Beacon Pointe Resort, which I can’t recommend highly enough. The room had a full kitchen, which came in handy for, well, everything! We had a gorgeous view of Lake Superior where my son loved watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor and as we walked along the lakefront where he enjoyed skipping rocks (or trying at least).
I also have an exciting announcement! I’m moving into a new studio starting September 1st. I’ll still be at the old studio for sessions until the end of September, if I need it. The new space will be completely ready at the end of September/early October. My new floors are getting installed now and then I just need to move everything in. I’m super excited about finally having a space to have newborn clients come to. I had to turn away too many potential clients last year because I didn’t have the space to take them, but now I will! I will still be offering in home sessions, too, for those that prefer the comfort of their own home. It’s truly a win-win for me and my clients!
Speaking of in home newborn sessions, here is one from over the summer. This was a last minute scheduled session and luckily I had the availability. On a side note; I’ve had to turn away a few clients over the past week, since my September calendar is completely booked. Seriously, I can’t squeeze in one more session or I will burst. However, October, November and December are open, so book now!! 🙂
