Summer is here, well not technically, but it’s definitely here! School is out, which means my little guy is home with me now. We’ve been staying busy with karate, birthday parties, play dates and the usual running of errands. I’ve stayed super busy during the month of May and into early June with many, many sessions. I’ve got a lot to share and blog about. This week I’m finding myself with a little extra time on my hands due to working a wedding last Saturday and a cancelled session on Sunday (thanks to the powerful thunderstorms that rolled through in the morning), so I’m trying to catch up on Facebook shares and blogging.

A few weekends ago I had 3 newborn sessions all in one weekend and this little beauty was one of them. I’m not sure what was going on that weekend, besides the all day downpouring rain, but my babies didn’t want to sleep for me. They all gave me about 20 minutes of good solid deep sleep, but then once they woke to feed or be changed, they wouldn’t go back to sleep. This little girl was wide awake when I left her home in Chaska, so I feel lucky to have gotten some beautiful poses with some good variety beforehand.

I just love these soft and feminine colors for baby girls. I think these soft pinks and creams are my new favorites.
