If you’re looking for a baby photography studio in the Twin Cities, you’ve come to the right place! I’ve been a Minneapolis Baby Photographer for over 12 years now. I absolutely love documenting these precious first-year milestones.

This family is on their THIRD First-Year Baby Plan with me (their third and last if Mama has her way). We documented this little man’s sitter milestone session at 7 months in September.

At the studio, we can get a lot of variety going outside when the weather cooperates. Luckily we had a beautiful September morning for their baby milestone and family photo session. We were able to take advantage of the fall-like backdrop outside and then come inside the studio for the rest of the session.

Not sure what your kiddo should wear to the session? I always advise dressing baby in neutral colors and tones avoiding any bright colors like hot pink or neon green. Light blue, navy blue, forest green, sage green, pastel pink, cream, brown, tan, white, and grey photograph well.

Solids photograph the best, but patterns like pinstripes and florals also photograph well.

Avoid writing on shirts as it’s too hard to read and can be distracting. The only exception would be a shirt that spells out ONE for a first birthday photo. If your baby is standing and walking I can sometimes get a pretty good shot and still make out the letters.
