I love being a baby milestone photographer because it’s just the best to watch babies grow in that first year. I took this little girl’s newborn photos last June and I couldn’t believe how big she got by the time we did her 6 month photos in December.

For her posed newborn photos we went with tones of pink and cream, which worked so beautifully with her skin tone. Mom brought in the cream bonnet which worked perfectly with my other wraps and props.

Then we mixed it up a bit with some purples and darker pinks for her “baby in the bowl” photos. We even got some wide awake shots while we waited for her to fall sleep. I’m pretty sure she slept like a champ afterwards, but honestly, it’s been so long that now I can’t remember.

Mom brought in the cutest little Santa baby outfit and wrapped gift box for her 6 month photos. This brought back memories of taking similar pictures of my son when he was around 5 or 6 months old, too. Apparently it’s a right of passage to put your baby in a fake wrapped present for their Christmas photos. 🙂

And of course, because she looked amazing in pink and cream for her newborn photos, mom brought in this gorgeous little number. I love the lace and pearls. It’s so feminine and elegant and doesn’t get much cuter on a 6 month old.

And lastly she was still in a good enough mood that we were able to get some more pictures in another outfit. This beautiful white and pale green dress was perfect. When babies are happy, having multiple outfits helps add lots of variety to photo shoots, so I’m glad mom brought lots of outfits!
