It’s been over 2 weeks since 2015 has come to an end, so I thought I better get my butt moving and get my year end blog post up! 2015 was full of gorgeous mama-to-be’s, newborn cuteness, chubby babies and happy, silly families. Along with a few side gigs revolving around engagements and weddings. I put together a little 2015 year in review slideshow of my favorite images, enjoy!
This was the end of a pretty big milestone for Alicea Rose Photography, as it marked the end of my 5th full year in business. 2016 kicks off my 6th year and I have a lot to look forward to.
My business really has grown and evolved over the past 5 years and with that has come change. One big change I’ve decided to make is narrowing down my niche and focus. So, going forward in 2016, I’ve decided I’ll no longer be taking on family portrait sessions as I focus my energy, attention and business on specializing in just maternity, newborn and baby portraits. It’s truly where my happy place is and where I feel the most fulfilled.
I’ve loved working with babies for as long as I can remember. Back to when I was 10 years old working at the home daycare across the street from my house to working in a center through high school and collage. The “baby room” was my zen place. Sometimes I would take my breaks and lunch breaks in that room. Being surrounded by smiley, drooly, cooing little chubby babies is what brings me an incredible amount of peace and happiness. And honestly, I don’t even care if they’re crying, because I love that, too.
For anyone who does end up reaching out to me for family portraits, I’ll be more than happy to refer you to a few photographers I know in the area that will take great care of you!
I’m really looking forward to meeting so many new families and their babies this year.
Thanks again! Here’s to a great 2016!
