The year is coming to an end; and boy, what a year it has been!
This past year has been amazing and has also been a year of professional growth. This was my 3rd year in business photographing my families and their newborns, babies and kids, along with photographing some beautiful weddings, and even my first high school senior (which I LOVED!). I sincerely cannot wait to add some more senior work to my portfolio and will be offering up a few free sessions soon. There was also an awakening of sorts with one aspect of my work, which will bring a bit of change in 2014.
When you first enter the world of photography, you really want to (and you really should) shoot anything and everything to figure out what you love to photograph. To find what moves you. To find what gives you the excitement like it’s Christmas morning. You wake up bursting to go out and shoot whatever it is that makes your heart go pitter-patter. For me, it’s my babies. Every part, every look, every stage; it’s pure heart-filled joy. There is simply nothing a baby could do that I wouldn’t find to be the most adorable and precious thing on earth. I simply love photographing babies.
And of course, my families. The connection. The glances. The bond. The love. Every family I have had the good fortune of photographing this year, some for the first time, while for others it’s been a 2nd or even 3rd time around with me, is nothing short of amazing. You guys are all amazing! I love hearing your stories and getting to know you so much that you have become more than just clients to me; I consider you guys friends. I feel honored each and every day that you would entrust me with the most precious people in your lives and to capture your memories with them. Moments are fleeting. I take capturing those moments with your loved ones as I do my own. It’s that important to me.
Thank you, thank you to all my families! I truly loved working with each and every one of you and am looking forward to another amazing year with you in 2014! But before we say a permanent good-bye to 2013, here is a little review of what my year has been like. Enjoy!
See you all next year!
