Happy Summer! It is now officially summer although its felt that way for quite a while now. We’ve had a pretty good kick-off to our summer with trips to Como Zoo, the splash pad in Champlin at Andrews Park, bowling at Sundance Bowl in Maple Grove, mini-golf at Eagle Lake Golf Course in Maple Grove, eating and playing games at Dave and Buster’s in Maple Grove, and many, many squirt gun fights and re-fills of the blow-up pool in our backyard. (Links provided in case you want to check any of these places out.)
As we’ve been venturing out to new activities with Kyle on the weekends, we’ve learned that he loves to play games (and win prizes) at Dave and Buster’s, he loves bowling (especially when he gets a strike), but doesn’t care for mini golf (because he never got a hole-in-one). Yes, this kid shoots pretty high when he sets out to do something!
It really is such a fun part of being a parent. Watching your kid grow up and seeing how their little personality develops, see what they love to learn about, what they like to do, what they don’t like doing, and what activities and sports their good at.
Speaking of little personalities, this little gal gave me a run for my money for her 2-year old portraits. She walked into the studio full of tears and wanting to go home before she could even take her coat off! It took a little patience, some playtime and little a persuasion before she finally gave in and realized that I’m actually pretty cool. 🙂 When they leave with a smile I always consider it a success! Enjoy!
