I’ve had the best babies in the studio lately for their posed newborn photos. I don’t want to jinx it or press my luck, but my goodness these newborn babies have been amazing for their photos. I’ve had a lot of girls lately, too, which is always so much fun to style with all the pretty headbands and bonnets.

This sweet little girl was 16 days old for her posed newborn photos and she did ah-mazing! At first she was a little wide eyed and awake for the parent/family photos and her first round of posed photos.

Look at those facial expressions she gave me! So cute and so funny and I’m not going to lie; she may have trying to poop in some of those. But at just over 2 weeks old, she gave some great eye contact. Those might just be my favorite images from her newborn photography session.

It didn’t take long for her to fall into a deep sleep, though. I was able to break out my macro lens and get some close up shots of her beautiful face and eyelashes.

How adorable is she all wrapped up and snuggly warm in this bonnet and wrap on the little baby bed prop? She looks like a little angel.

Then I moved her to the beanbag, but kept her wrapped to keep her warm during the transition. I took her little toes out of the wrap and got a few more shots before removing the wrap.

But of course, after I removed her wrap and exposed her to the cooler air she woke up and became a little hungry. She was a quick eater and after placing her back on the beanbag and getting her into a nice sleepy curled position, she fell right back to sleep.

This entire posed newborn photo session from start to finish lasted just over 2 hours. Mom and dad arrived at 10am and were out the door a little after 12pm. They stayed for a bit to top her off with a quick feeding before heading home so they didn’t have to drive home with a hungry baby in the car.

I can’t wait to meet all the new babies coming up this summer. I have a lot coming in June and August, but have a few more openings for July. Please contact me for availability!
